#IMAGIN2019 in Grand Rapids
This week I attended a GIS professional meeting in Grand Rapids. The IMAGIN conference emphasizes the work of GIS professionals from a variety of industries. WMU Geography faculty, staff, and students attended to share what is going on in our department. Among the several presentations from WMU attendees, my undergraduate advisee, Ryan Taylor, presented the results of his remote sensing research project entitled 'Urban Tree Canopy Cover Change in Denver, Colorado 2005-2013'. His research was supported by an Undergraduate Research and Creative Scholarship Excellence Award granted by the WMU Office of the Vice President for Research. Congrats to Ryan on all of these accomplishments!
