NTTC Conference in Tucson
In less than a month (Sept-28) I will be presenting a workshop entitled 'GIS - Drones 101 & Interpreting & Utilizing Drone Data' at the 20th Annual National Tribal Transportation Conference in Tucson, Arizona. The workshop will introduce attendees to UAS technology (e.g., types of platforms, sensors) and operation (e.g., aviation regulations) as well as UAS data collection procedures (e.g., best practices). In addition, the commonly used data processing methodology (SfM-MVS) will be discussed in-depth to explore how GIS data products can be created from UAS-captured aerial imagery including georeferencing methods. The workshop presentation has already been prepared and can be downloaded here.
Thanks to the Southern Plains TTAP Center at Oklahoma State University for sponsoring my participation in the conference.
