STEM Workforce Collaboratory established at WMU
Dr. Jim Burns (from the WMU College of Engineering and Applied Sciences) and I recently were awarded a $1.5 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education to support STEM workforce preparation on and off the WMU campus. The funds will support purchasing of cutting-edge equipment and technology, development of new microcredentials and courses, faculty externships with southwest Michigan companies, engagement with K-12 in the region, and much more. We are excited to get the 3-year project started. To learn more about project goals and other details, check out the project website.
