Lesson plan in The Geography Teacher

Interested in instituting a 'fun factor' into your geography classroom to better engage students learning about geography and topographic mapping concepts? This new lesson plan is just for you. It is based on work I completed with colleagues in middle school while I was at Western Michigan University. Although the approach was aimed at middle school aged children, these methods would be useful to adopt for a wide range of ages. Play-Doh, LEGO, and drones were incorporated to get students hands-on activities to support learning. Check out the article here.
