New position at Western Michigan University
I’ve recently accepted an Assistant Professor position in the Department of Geography at Western Michigan University! I will be transitioning from OSU to WMU this summer and begin officially in Kalamazoo in August 2018. I am excited to bring my UAS and, more broadly, GIScience and geography expertise to WMU, which is a campus looking to expand UAS/geospatial curriculum and research. I look forward to growing multidisciplinary collaborative efforts with the Department of Geological and Environmental Sciences, College of Aviation, and other departments across campus. The Department of Geography has recently organized and proposed a new Graduate Certificate in Geospatial Applications of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, which is very exciting. I look forward to supporting this and other programs! I have enjoyed my time at Oklahoma State and will miss my colleagues from the department and across campus, current and former students, and Stillwater friends. I have been extremely lucky to work with and get to know such amazing people at OSU.
