Our New Major: BS in Geospatial Information Science!

The Oklahoma State University Department of Geography is now offering a new undergraduate degree option! The new Bachelor of Science in Geospatial Information Science was designed to attract those interested specifically in geospatial tools and techniques (e.g., geographic information systems [GIS], remote sensing, the global positioning system [GPS], etc.), and provides a great platform from which to break into the booming geospatial industry in the state and throughout the country.

The U.S. Department of Labor has categorized 'Geospatial Technology' as a "High Growth Industry". O*Net OnLine provides even more descriptive information about this growing field. Exciting stuff!
